Connecting people and places is our superpower. We are a boutique travel media and consulting company launched by a passionate creator who thrives on sharing the world with others.
Our founder, Desiree Miller, is an award-winning writer and former television news journalist with two decades of experience producing high-quality videos for broadcast television and digital streaming apps, and is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
She’s the author of the best-selling travel anthology “101 True Tales from the Terminal” and co-hosts a weekly podcast called Time to Talk Travel. She also shares her adventures on multiple websites and media outlets, including the WanderLust show on Local Now. The newest and most exciting additions to Des’ portfolio now include planning transformational retreats and producing professional production-quality videos for hospitality brands and destinations, while consulting with them on how to work with influencers.

The Empty Nester Travel Bender
Old enough to know better, too young to resist!
As new empty nesters, we now have the freedom to explore the world without school schedules or family obligations. With the kids grown, we have time to rediscover the world and ourselves. Still (what we consider) young and full of energy, we’re ready to embrace the epic adventures we’ve always dreamed of, making that once far-off bucket-list trip a reality.
With this newfound freedom, we finally have the flexibility to travel when we want and how we want. We can indulge in longer, more meaningful travel experiences—exploring places that once felt too far or too ambitious, whether it’s hiking through breathtaking national parks, diving into vibrant cultural festivals abroad, or simply relaxing on a luxurious getaway.
Our “Empty Nester Travel Bender” is all about making the most of our newfound freedom by packing as much adventure and excitement into each trip as possible.
2024 – Utah, Arizona

In 2024, we upped the ante by tackling 8 national parks in 9 days across the Southwestern U.S. From sunrise hikes to breathtaking canyon views, this travel bender was not just about sightseeing but about staying active and fully immersed in nature at every turn. The physical activity kept the adrenaline pumping, but the beauty and serenity of each park gave us moments to pause and appreciate the wonder around us.
